I’m not a beach person.

I live within minutes of the beach. My job is mere blocks from the beach. But it’s been years and years since I actually went to the beach for fun. Really, it’s just kinda sandy and usually hot and bathrooms are few and far between.

But my husband had an early morning meeting in Biloxi and I tagged along so we could go out for breakfast together afterward. To kill time I took a mile and a half walk along the beach.

I gotta say, if I’m going to take a beach walk, 8 a.m. on a Sunday when there’s no one else around and it’s about 40 degrees is pretty much perfect for me.

    Yeah, this sounds like the way I’d like the beach, too. I like the sound of the beach, and I like the way it looks…But I’m not much for crowds or hot, sunny days.

      Bonus: When I stay on the boardwalk with my shoes on, I don’t have to worry about stepping on godknowswhat and dying of tetanus.
